Stations of the Cross – Condemned to Die

“Tried until proven guilty!” We’ve heard this phrase over and over again. But has there been a time where you’ve felt the “guilty” weren’t quite as guilty as they were convicted? Have you felt that a judge and jury made the wrong decision when acquitting a certain person you think fit the crime? We like to think our judicial system is infallible, but there are times where justice doesn’t prevail. Such is the story of Jesus. A man who did everything in love, who healed the hurts of this world, is put to death simply for being who he was. Jesus being condemned to die was the biggest failure of human justice. But, thank God, we didn’t have the last word in this verdict!
