Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.
Football season is now in full swing. In the South we have our priorities.
God first, followed by family, country, football, and sweet tea….
Just about everyone has a favorite team and, of course, we want that team to win. Winning means everything to devout fans which brings to mind another game so to speak.
The big game, the most important game. The game of life eternal. As Christians, we are on the winning team when we give our lives to Jesus.
Jesus is our winning coach and He doesn’t want anyone to languish on the bench. He wants everyone to “play”.
Your on His team. Your invited to play.
Sign up for the winning team.
Play hard. Stay focused and honor God.
Remember who you are living for.
Don’t let the game clock run out on anyone you know.
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Prayer: Father strengthen our hearts that we may be champions for your name, leaders for your way, and doers of your word. Let us not forget that your way is life eternal and you are that author of all things just and good.
