No one likes an awkward situation, right? So we generally want to move away or ignore those events in our lives.
Sometimes we have this same experience in our faith. When questioned or labelled as a believer, there is this tendency to want to go the way of Peter and profess denial. Or we don’t want to give a straight answer, because we are afraid of offending others. But that’s not how we should be.
We should speak of our faith boldly. It is important, however, not to confuse boldness with arrogance. We are given the gift to speak and live truth, not through our own devices, but through our God, who speaks through us. Doesn’t give you some relief to know that God is your voice of reason and faith? Speak boldly, so that the love and grace of God can be heard by those who need to hear it!
